| Comments: | Beautiful tall eruption. As it grew taller and taller the spikes and steam column seemed to curl over the middle deck. I thought we would get soaked, but not a drop of water did fall! Blue skies and the start was instantaneous. It grew from one strong minor and boom-start! Water came back into NV @ ~1645 and the back shelf waterfalls and NV runoff channel had heavy runoff. 1 pause @1649 that was a NV pause where SV went from roaring steam back to water, NV briefly stopped and restarted. 2nd pause at 1652 and both vents stopped and restarted! NV back to steam and these were the only 2 pauses observed during a brief resurgence of heavy water from NV. @ 1748 Cistern Spring has dropped 1' below overflow. |
