From "Hot spring activity in the geyser basins of the Firehole River for the 1967 season," pg. 8: "On October 9 East Sentinel Geyser erupted for the first observed time during the season. The height was about 20 feet. At times in the past this geyser has been very active. I have never observed it to erupt when there is high water in the Firehole River. West Sentinel is a steady geyser." |
