During 3 hours of watching Lone Pine, including a full eruption of LP, the pool of Occasional visible from road did nothing more than intermittently fluctuate as if it might erupt, then quit. It sat for the entire duration at just below the high water mark visible in crater, perhaps 8" below rim of formation. Not sure if this represents dormancy or just severely changed behavior. Pool is still hot based on pretty blue color of water, but orange cyanobacteria easily visible in right-hand runoff channel (seen legally from road) |

Overflowing from the vents next to the formation for the entire time. In past years, I would typically see it pulsate and erupt from the same level.
Lone Pine was full, overflowing, and bubbling. |
