Debris still in the same spot they've been on! ** Cistern Spring is the same except that the pools below it and toward Crater Springs, in the bobbysock trees, again are the color of rainbow sherbet
22385 07 Jul 2022 @ 1201 --- steve Minor splashing from South and North vents but no duals. Height 10-20 feet. Little water in the runoff channel.
22360 06 Jul 2022 @ 1120 --- cb no change. platform dry SV channel has a few damp spots ~20' from the vent. **Emerald Spring >no change. **Cistern Spring >no change
22312 04 Jul 2022 @ 1405 --- cb 13D22.5H PE. Steamboat is still Gibbled. Some very weak angled, wispy random spray from both vents. SV Channel, shoulder, back channel all bone dry. Debris from last eruption still on Jabba, the dip & SV. NV bubblers are not active.
22297 03 Jul 2022 @ 0727 --- cb 12D 16H PE.. wee bit more active this am. Some airy wispy spray from both vents, mostly NV. a bit more grumbly this am. SV channel this morning is damp and there is a trickle of water down to the trough but this is mainly coming from the seap below Jabbas jaw. Trough has a wee bit of standing water in it. NV Bubblers are active. Shoulder & back channel are dry. **Cistern same, overflowing mainly out the established channel, catch basins are full with only a trickle of water going into them. **Emerald spring is still bubbling and cloudy lime green.
22287 02 Jul 2022 @ 1308 --- cb 11D 21H PE. Both vents are A TAD BIT more active. Wispy angled jetting, some concerted, from both vents. SV channel, shoulder, back channel & trough all dry. NV bubblers active but weak.
22248 30 Jun 2022 @ 1409 --- cb no change. platform bone dry. Trough is bone dry too. no water from either vent in my 10m observation
22205 29 Jun 2022 @ 1321 --- cb 8D22H PE. SOME water has come back to the vents. platform, channels, shoulder, back channel still dry. Observed some weak (~8-10') angled jetting from both vents. Debris from the last eruption are still scattered all over the dip, jabba, SV & SV channel. Trough is mostly dry albeit some pooling at the very bottom. I believe SB is Gibbled and Fargoozled!
22180 28 Jun 2022 @ 1446 --- cb 7D23.5H PE. no change. Still bone dry and gently steaming. Trough is empty of pooled water except for a very moist spot in the bottom of the trough. **Cistern Spring is overflowing in all directions still, clear, blue, with a vigorous blooping boil. ** Emerald spring >>Bubble bubble, toil and trouble! Still has the same boils in the same spots. Still lime green, cloudy & overflowing
22149 27 Jun 2022 @ 1147 --- cb 6D20.5H PE. SB is still mostly quiet. Occationally some very weak, airy, 5' splashes, from both vents. Platform dry. ET is moist.
22140 26 Jun 2022 @ 1829 --- cb 6D3H PE. platform is bone dry. Some audible low level grumbling but mostly just a gentle steam coming from both vents. 2 airy, wispy NV sprays that were mostly steam during my brief observation. The 2 bubblers in NV channel are active today but not much trickling down below them.
22127 25 Jun 2022 @ 1905 25 Jun 2022 @ 1930 cb 5D3H PE. No change from this morning. Platform bone dry. Some very airy gurgling with wispy puffs of steam from both vents. NV bubblers active. ** Emerald Spring has increased areas with small bubblers breaking the surface

22104 24 Jun 2022 @ 0800 24 Jun 2022 @ 0815 bbev 3D,16hrs PE: No real change from yesterday other than a little more grumbly. Both NV channel bubblers still as active as yesterday. No water seen from either vent. CS in copious overflow in all directions with strong, 6" blooping boil. Barely a trickle at trough, much less than yesterday. Emerald Spring murky with consistent boil in two separate places on near side of pool. No boil seen yesterday.
22094 23 Jun 2022 @ 1830 --- cb 3D3H. Platform is bone dry! no water from either vent. Gently steaming
22096 23 Jun 2022 @ 0800 --- bbev 0800 2D 16hrs PE quietly steaming. No water seen in either vent.  Upper NV channel bubbler is audibly active with visabe water flow down channel, and lower NV channel bubbler active and erupting 3-4" with water flowing down NV channel. Trickle of water at trough, possible from back runoff channel, as SV channel is dry below the vent. CS appears to have recently began overflow to the north, towards Veteran, upper catch basins filling. Overflowing out back channel with trickle into muddy pool.
22064 22 Jun 2022 @ 1325 --- cb 1D22H. SB platform is very quiet. no water, huffing and very little steam. Trough is free from debris at the base of the channel. Its full at the neck going under the bridge. ** Emerald Spring Pea is pea soup green, cloudy, calm & overflowing. ** Cistern Spring is just within sight down in the inner tube. ~6' from inner tube rim (at the base of the cave). Vigorous boil. refilling ** @ 2025 2D5H Cistern Spring is ~1' below the inner tube rim. it has a vigorous boil and water is clear blue.
21999 17 Jun 2022 @ 0825 17 Jun 2022 @ 0848 bbev North vent runoff has water flowing from the two bubblers in that channel.
21946 12 Jun 2022 @ 0952 --- cb 1D22.5H. 48° raining steadily. SB is gently huffing steam. no water. Cistern spring is empty with a faint amount of steam. A visitor put his 5ish yo son on his shoulders to see if there was any visable water. No visable water in the vent according to this smart young lad!
21914 11 Jun 2022 @ 0828 --- cb 21H IE. NV is still ejecting water to ~ 30' continously. SV to ~10'.
21875 09 Jun 2022 @ 1145 09 Jun 2022 @ 1845 Graham No change since this morning, occasional vertical minors but no periods of increased activity.
21868 09 Jun 2022 @ 0800 09 Jun 2022 @ 1145 RMichaels Steamboat had lower energy this morning with sporadic nice minors. The good minors typically were concerted with some vertical from both vents and ended with South Vent fountaining. None of them built or had much sustain from North Vent.
21849 08 Jun 2022 @ 0800 08 Jun 2022 @ 2000 RMichaels Steamboat had mostly low energy throughout the first half of the observation period, which was not surprising considering the 55 degree temperature spike shown on the YVO graph at 0500. Most of the morning and early afternoon consisted of isolated minors which were at times impressive, but surrounded by long pauses. Starting about 1530 energy began to increase. Steamboat had an active period from 1635-1715 with a number of concerted minors that had tall and sustained vertical from both vents. Several impressive minors occurred within minutes of each other, but none initiated an eruption. There was another smaller push around 1915 that didn't amount to much.
21822 07 Jun 2022 @ 0745 07 Jun 2022 @ 2100 RMichaels Activity progressed throughout the day, with a notable increase in energy through the afternoon. Minors grew more frequent, with many thick and tall angled NVs and good raging rivers from SV on occasion. Both vents had vertical minors throughout the day, with notable concerted vertical minors at 1044 and 1744. Though the energy appeared good, none of the minors built into anything. That said, there were also very few quiet periods and no real lulls.
21792 06 Jun 2022 @ 1120 06 Jun 2022 @ 1430 cb Much the same activity as I've seen the past few days. Periods of increased activity that end in a CNVSV with an impressive vertical bounce and then the platform gets semi quiet for period of time. (~30m) One nice CNVVSVH @ 1155 that was sustained & impressive with great runoff, zilcho followup! Nothing equaled that in our observation period. A few SV solos that put alot of water down the channel.
21764 05 Jun 2022 @ 0900 05 Jun 2022 @ 1400 Dan A Similar activity to what cb noted yesterday perhaps a bit more energetic.
21725 04 Jun 2022 @ 0940 04 Jun 2022 @ 1015 cb Some active periods where both vents play is mostly forceful, angled play which can end in a impressive NV vertical bounce & a SV ragging river. This followed by a semi quiet period with random angled jetting, some concerted, out of both vents. Back shoulder & back channel have water. The trough is FULL of debris. SV channel has not lightened up yet. Emerald Spring is overflowing but the pool is to steamy to see into. Cistern pool only overflowing out the established channel. Same play observed in the late afternoon
21693 03 Jun 2022 @ 1430 03 Jun 2022 @ 1540 cb i watched SB for a bit this morning and again this afternoon. Vents are mostly angled with the occational CNVVSVV that puts a substantial amount of water down the SV channel. Then both vents get "quiet" for a time. Some forceful independent play from both vents. Cistern is clear & overflowing only out the established channel with a moderate boil
21654 02 Jun 2022 @ 0800 --- bbev 10 days PE. Both vents active and grumbly.SV putting out regular light to moderate runoff. Shoulder is damp, can’t see any water in back channel. CS is overflowing out back channel and lapping at edge of pool. Clear with light boil.
21637 01 Jun 2022 @ 1409 01 Jun 2022 @ 1450 cb Both vents having fairly forceful angled play, at times concerted. SV is moving debris from the previous eruption down and is filling the trough
21644 01 Jun 2022 @ 0803 01 Jun 2022 @ 0811 bbev More grumbly than yesterday's brief observation. Sv having frequent moderate runoff. NV thickk at times. 0808 nice sv runoff, maybe 50% concerted during very brief observation.
21615 31 May 2022 @ 0801 --- bbev Both vents active with SV putting water down the runoff channel
21581 30 May 2022 @ 0940 --- novakg *0929 Emerald Spring quiet and overflowing. *0940 Steamboat weak eruptions in both vents *0944 Cistern overflowing towards Echinus. Hard to see anything else because of cold, snow, and steam.
21541 27 May 2022 @ 1845 --- cb 4D10H PE. Just gently steaming. no water in either vent. ** Cistern Spring pool is high & overflowing into the muddy pool & out the established channel to the south and MAYBE some is dribbling out the backside toward Tantalus via wind pushed waves. Nothing out of the side toward Veteran or the boardwalk. It has a weak boil. water is clear & blue. ** Emerald spring is calm, green and in overflow
21516 26 May 2022 @ 1408 --- cb 3D 5H. PE Very quiet and gently billowing steam. Platform dry
21484 25 May 2022 @ 0930 --- TSBryan variable but steady steam, significant pressure at times; no visible spray
21467 24 May 2022 @ 1900 --- cb 1D10H. Steamboat is gently billowing steam. no water. ** Cistern Spring has drained. no water or steam observed. **Emerald spring is clear calm greenish and in overflow.
21426 22 May 2022 @ 0908 22 May 2022 @ 2127 Ben VL NV progressed a bit since yesterday with consistently better vertical than I saw yesterday. From 1020-1107 we had a nice period of activity with several concerted w/NVV's, many of which were fairly thick and tall, but relatively brief. Another similar push beginning about 1830 that did not last quite as long. Several other instances of conc. NVV throughout the day. SV continues to put out a lot of water. Hopefully these pushes will actually stand out on the graph! Crazy thunder-snowstorm drove us off the platform around 1430.
21424 22 May 2022 @ 1330 22 May 2022 @ 1530 BillJ Times approximate (observing session ended abruptly by thundersnow). Still 20-25% concerted, with occasional vigorous but non-vertical north vents and usually wimpy south vents.
21416 22 May 2022 @ 1020 22 May 2022 @ 1100 mhreed Period of more vigorous, interesting play including some minors with vertical, concerted jetting. Decent water. South Vent continues to frequently vomit water. This period was followed by a general lull in activity, though concerted minors continued even if they were less vertically gifted. Departed ~1345.
21410 21 May 2022 @ 0805 21 May 2022 @ 2125 Ben VL SV dominated still. NV had slight progression throughout the day, and Dan said it was better than 2 days ago. NV has good height and is often thick but there is hardly any vertical. SV has a lot of water. Saw some fountaining with heavy runoff a few times. Still a lot of concerted. I noted some nicer minors with NV vertical (half of them are just bounce) back to back @ 1222 & 24, 1313 & 20, 1352 & 54, 1515 & 19, pretty nice at 1843 & 1944.
21394 20 May 2022 @ 2105 --- Ben VL Some nice play on brief visit. Walked up to some nice, consistent, happy SV and frequent babbling brooks. SV had some fairly sustained and was frequently hitting 20'. NV fairly thick and over 30' a lot, but did not see any vertical. Wind heading south so couldn't tell if SV had vertical. A lot of concerted, and fairly rumbly. CS is only flowing out the back channel that I can tell. ES calm, clear, and I think in overflow.
21361 18 May 2022 @ 1130 18 May 2022 @ 1300 BillJ Roughly 20% concerted during this brief visit. No vertical from North Vent and most but not all South activity was weak. A few decent Souths, mostly after 1215.
21347 17 May 2022 @ 0800 17 May 2022 @ 2000 RMichaels Overall activity from Steamboat was low to moderate with a few exceptions. From 1130-1230 it had increased energy with some sustained fountaining from SV and occasional NV vertical. The rest of the afternoon was quiet. Activity increased again from 1800-1900 with periods of SV fountaining. NV did not really have sustain or vertical in the afternoon or evening and was often whispy. Emerald Spring calm and clear throughout the day. Cistern Spring overflowing out the established back channel only with a moderate boil.
21324 16 May 2022 @ 0930 16 May 2022 @ 1700 Dan A Steamboat was low energy today. No concerted activity seen and only a few good south vent runoff observed.
21320 16 May 2022 @ 0930 16 May 2022 @ 1350 Tara Observation was not continuous and sometimes it was too steamy to see, but during two periods observing from steerage I did not see much of anything impressive from North Vent, either height or vertical. There also did not appear to be much, if any, concerted activity. There were a few heavier flows, including a push between 1210 and 1240 when several strong flows brought down debris and moved gravel in the trough.
21300 15 May 2022 @ 1555 15 May 2022 @ 1900 Dan A Good activity seen today with concerted minors at 1555, 1704, 1705, 1751, 1804, 1807. Strong solo south with raging rivers also seen during this observation period. This is looking to be a shorter interval than the last one.
21285 15 May 2022 @ 1000 15 May 2022 @ 1410 Tara Weaker activity than yesterday overall, occasional NVV and bounce. there were larger minors with NVV between 1215 and 1254, then a push from 1320-1325 that included a heavy flow at 1324 with debris. Slowed way down after that and was recovering a bit when we had to leave at 1410. Emerald clear and calm, Cistern flowing mostly out back channel with light boil.
21278 14 May 2022 @ 1015 14 May 2022 @ 1400 cb I observed some nice concerted, vertical (with NV bounce) play out of both vents that put a babbling brook down the channel. 1328 had the most impressive event that put a ragging river down the SV channel. Nice CNVVSVV w/ substantial SV run off were at 1035, 1057, 1200, 1310, & 1328. The water at steerage is VERY clear & debris has been pushed away from the bottom of the trough toward the bridge. ** @ 1008 Emerald spring is clear, calm, green & in nice overflow. ** @ 1200 Cistern Spring is only overflowing out the established channel on the south end of its pool. (toward Echinus) It has a weak boil.
21239 11 May 2022 @ 1800 --- MAB not a specific time - has some water - occasional heavy white steam as seen from Vixen this afternoon confirmed by visitors on their walkbys
21212 07 May 2022 @ 1407 --- cb gently huffing. The SV channel & ET are coated in a white sinter*ish coating. **Emerald spring is clear, calm, overflowing and greenish blue in color. 3 Trees feature is seeping water down the runoff channel, not bubbling or erupting. **Cistern Spring is filling. Water is ~4 - 5' below the rim of the inner tube. (right at the "cave" in the inner tube.) It has a substantial boil. It was difficult to see with my 1 good eye and through the snow squall & steam. I just waited for the wind direction to change and got a good view.
21185 06 May 2022 @ 0730 --- Dan A Steamboat is mostly weak steam at this time with occasional moments of stronger forced steam.
21174 05 May 2022 @ 1138 --- cb 1D7H. SB is still ie albeit less powerful than yesterday. both SV & NV have forceful consistent steam with huffing powerful jets of water to ~10'+
21165 04 May 2022 @ 1419 --- bbev 10hrs PE: Mostly steam with wispy water in NV. Gravel lightly covers mid deck. Cistern down 3', cloudy with no boil. Trough has been cleared (it had been mostly full when l last saw it Saturday), channel directly under the bridge is still full of material, and l would guess water went over the bridge due to the amount of gravel on boardwalk.
21160 03 May 2022 @ 0900 03 May 2022 @ 1700 Dan A Steamboat hasn’t improved much since Yesterday. The minors were a bit more frequent today, but north still struggles to go vertical.
21156 02 May 2022 @ 1100 02 May 2022 @ 1800 Dan A Better than yesterday but not as good as a few days ago. One concerted vertical with no follow up around 12:35. A few north vent verticals were observed throughout the day but were not concerted. South vent runoff was great on occasion with raging rivers.
21145 01 May 2022 @ 0900 01 May 2022 @ 1600 Dan A Steamboat was low energy today. Nothing vertical nor big was observed from north and south today.
21140 30 Apr 2022 @ 1100 30 Apr 2022 @ 1800 Dan A Same activity as past few days nothing has changed. One strong sustained concerted eruption with follow up at 12:30. Steamboat seemed to get progressively weaker throughout the day after that push.
21129 29 Apr 2022 @ 0900 29 Apr 2022 @ 1800 Dan A Nothing of real note today north and south both strong at times. Some concerted vertical throughout but no follow up and the concerted action never seemed serious. Some good minors today but pretty lackluster action overall. Hopefully it picks up tomorrow and we get some good activity.
21123 28 Apr 2022 @ 1000 28 Apr 2022 @ 1345 Dan A Strong concerted vertical minors at 10:54, 11:08, 11:09. After that nothing of note the rest of the observation time. Steamboat seemed to be in a lull. The concerted vertical minors were weaker then yesterday.
21117 27 Apr 2022 @ 1711 27 Apr 2022 @ 1830 DanS Huge, tall minors at 1720, 1722, 1730, 1746: all looked like they could lead to start. Both NV and SV participating. Raging River down channel. WhooHoos! Activity declined considerably after that, plus rain/snow picked up.
21088 26 Apr 2022 @ 1100 26 Apr 2022 @ 1515 Dan A Same activity as the last two days. Impressive south vent with north refusing to be interested at all. South seemed a little more solo today. North still drags south into this strong activity most of the time but some impressive solos from south today. Good south pushes at 11:55, 12:04, 12:14, 12:24, 12:34, 15:06.
21083 25 Apr 2022 @ 1903 25 Apr 2022 @ 2005 momadair2 My husband and I observed Steamboat from 1903 to 2005. NV was very active with angled jets that were constant for the entire hour. SV would join in and push babbling brooks down the SV channel every 3-5 minutes. 3 different times at 1942, 1952 and 1957 it was a raging River. At 1957, NV and SV were near vertical and concerted about 20 feet in height. We got super excited for a moment.
21079 25 Apr 2022 @ 1330 25 Apr 2022 @ 1555 DanS Per DanA: Very big push from SV around 1355. Additional strong SV seen at 1455, 1513. NV still angled play of varying intensity.
21078 25 Apr 2022 @ 1013 25 Apr 2022 @ 1250 DanS Angled NV. Very big push from SV at 1044. Lull in activity later in morning.
21076 24 Apr 2022 @ 1640 24 Apr 2022 @ 1825 DanS Big river from steerage at 1643. NV angled action with occasional vertical bounce. Huge push from SV at 1743 with tall bursting and big river down channel. Action decreasing after 1800.
21067 24 Apr 2022 @ 1210 24 Apr 2022 @ 1247 DanS NV mostly angled with a few vertical bumps. SV extra big push at 1233.
21066 24 Apr 2022 @ 0825 24 Apr 2022 @ 0940 User34 Angled North, few moments of total quiet from North, almost constant spraying otherwise. Some vertical splashes out of South and a couple decent runoffs during observation, but nothing exciting.
21055 23 Apr 2022 @ 1115 23 Apr 2022 @ 1258 DanS Mostly angled action from NV with one strong but short lived vertical at 1130. Strong pushes from SV at 1135, 1211, 1216, 1244, 1258 sent babbling brook down runoff channel. Trail scouring at steerage beyond bridge.
21050 21 Apr 2022 @ 1000 --- ypcaribou Climbing hill to Canyon, looked in rearview mirror and saw a huge steamcloud from Steamboat. Thought it was starting. On return trip, no sign it had erupted. Weather: cloudy/gray & cooler.
21046 20 Apr 2022 @ 1400 20 Apr 2022 @ 1515 steve Some minors with reasonable overflow but no “Wow” minors. But only a short observation period.
21004 18 Apr 2022 @ 1834 --- MAB nice N vent joined by S with noisy wash - repeated 2 min later walking out
20950 06 Apr 2022 @ 1140 06 Apr 2022 @ 1146 SteveO Light infrequent angle jetting front North vent, little splashing from South vent.
20948 06 Apr 2022 @ 1055 06 Apr 2022 @ 1116 SteveO Steamboat puffing steam, no water visible. South Channel dry.
20820 14 Feb 2022 @ 1556 --- Ravenwatcher I was at Steamboat apx 1430 hours. Playing from both vents, never at the same time. Play from SV more frequent, apx 1 min or more apart. NV played apx 2 to 5 mins apart. Neither vent played fully vertical and never taller than 20ft. Cistern was full, but only overflowing from eastern channel. feel free to ask me for details, videos, and pics of eruption. Same username on Facebook.
20754 24 Jan 2022 @ 1030 --- mwolf back in water
20638 30 Dec 2021 @ 2212 --- Polly Appeared to be a possible eruption on YNM, but now looks like a problem with the seismograph ink. No indication of an eruption on Tantalus Creek discharge gauge. There was a similar signature on 12/26/2021 at 1844. That one seemed to me to be more muted than this one. I do have a screen shot.
20338 06 Nov 2021 @ 1707 06 Nov 2021 @ 1740 User34 Minor at 1707 that kept on building until North was vertical above the trees and South was fountaining vertically. Plenty of big Souths following that, but no follow-up from North until a minor at 1727 which had heavy, sustained, but angled North, and tall vertical South that sent a raging river (best overflow all day) down the channel. Nothing after that through when I left at 1740. Better luck next year!
20321 06 Nov 2021 @ 0730 06 Nov 2021 @ 1520 RMichaels Much lower energy than yesterday. Runoff still consistent, but concerted minors with volume or sustain few and far between. SV again seemed dominant, and even its frequency and volume were diminished from what I observed the last 2-3 days. Only a couple minors with any NV bounce.
20316 05 Nov 2021 @ 1810 05 Nov 2021 @ 1920 User34 Variable runoff, sometimes a trickle at the bridge, sometimes a steady brook. Didn't see any vertical but it got dark quick, then there was one runoff that reached the bridge at 1907 that was substantial, but it subsided after. Russell reported good activity from 1130 to 1300 with exciting play around noon.
20317 05 Nov 2021 @ 0720 05 Nov 2021 @ 1850 RMichaels Consistent activity and high energy from both vents through the morning. Decent NV vertical about every 40 min. Most active period was 1130-1300. Very nice event just after noon with sustained NV and SV vertical with heavy runoff. No real follow-up, though. Runoff remained fairly consistent through the afternoon, but energy was generally lower from 1300-1740. At 1740 there were two back to back minors with sustained SV vertical and heavy runoff. NV never really went vertical, but was tall, thick, and sustained. Still seemed energetic when I left at 1850. Cistern in heavy overflow all day.
20313 04 Nov 2021 @ 0730 04 Nov 2021 @ 1840 RMichaels NV was more active today than the previous two days of observation. Active period from 1145-1330 that had a few concerted minors with NV bounce and heavy runoff. Many large SV minors with good runoff throughout the day. Big NV vertical at 1804, but no follow-up.
20272 03 Nov 2021 @ 0900 03 Nov 2021 @ 1715 cb Increased activity from both vents today. More concerted play with 2 notable events, CNVVSVH, that got us standing up! Still more solo SVV Fountains that put a good river down the channel.
20266 02 Nov 2021 @ 0915 02 Nov 2021 @ 1700 cb small improvement in water level. No NVV observed. Concerted angled play with a few nice rivers down SV channel.
20265 01 Nov 2021 @ 2100 02 Nov 2021 @ 0040 Tsunami note new name, was known as Barrett. Arrive at 21:00 stayed till 00:40 the next day. Here are my observations. SV and NV played together more frequently as time went on. NV tended to play 1 to 3 surges. Lots of good 30 feet, A couple of 50 feet. There was also a minor play. NV just kept surging higher and higher in my flashlight. I'd say 70' to 100', NV went 6 to 7 splashs that time. It quited down a little bit toward 00:40 but that was the time I got driven off the basin because fog had completely settled in.
20264 01 Nov 2021 @ 0930 01 Nov 2021 @ 1715 cb This mornings activity was nice with a few SVV gully washers down the channel & some tall angled NV's till 1145. No vertical seen from NV till about 1630 and that was more of a good sized bounce. All in all yesterday's activity was better. Today was meh...
20260 31 Oct 2021 @ 1120 31 Oct 2021 @ 1814 bbev 6D,10hrs PE: SV runoff appears to have improved overnight and continued to improve into the afternoon. Several SV "rock rollers", some concerted, some solo. NV much more active and voluminous after 1530. Play became more concerted, maybe 50%+ in the afternoon as well. Very grumbly, sometimes thunderous off and on throughout the day. Quieted down some after 1700.
20241 31 Oct 2021 @ 1017 31 Oct 2021 @ 1055 DanS Angled play from NV. One big push from SV at 1034 sent good runoff down channel.
20232 30 Oct 2021 @ 1600 30 Oct 2021 @ 1730 bbev 5D,14hrs PE. SV runoff somewhat improved from yesterday. Evidence of better runoff as reported earlier in the day. l observed mostly independent, angled minors, with a couple of SVV solos with minimal runoff.
20237 30 Oct 2021 @ 1400 30 Oct 2021 @ 1500 User34 Series of SVV and fountaining over 15 minutes that sent babbling brook after babbling brook down. Past the steerage bridge was full of water in every channel from far left to far right afterwards. Very little from North during this time. Went into a lull after with sporadic SVV and two concerted minors around 1500 with bouncy water from North.
20191 29 Oct 2021 @ 1650 29 Oct 2021 @ 1730 cb 4D15H PE.. Water is back to the platform. SV channel wet with a trickle beyond the bridge to Tantalus creek. Not a lot of activity from either vent but we observed 1 concerted minor that had vertical play in both vents. Not much other play than this one.
20159 28 Oct 2021 @ 1347 --- cb 3D11.5H PE.. Gently steaming, water is not back to the platform yet. Channels dry.
20149 27 Oct 2021 @ 1312 --- cb quietly steaming. All channels are dry of thermal runoff. some rain/snow melt has collected in low depressions in the SV channel. VERY slight grumbling.
20120 25 Oct 2021 @ 1238 --- cb 10.5 H into the eruption SB NV is jetting mix of water and steam 30'. SV mostly steam 10'. There is still a very narrow cascade of water coming off the hillside above the upper deck & a flow of water down the NV runoff channel. Nothing flowing down SV channel. CISTERN SPRING @ 1247 has dropped 3' below overflow (water level is right at the intersection of the crossed logs. No boil, clear & blue. EMERALD SPRING is a little cloudy, VERY turquoise blue, no bubbles & overflowing.
20099 24 Oct 2021 @ 1000 24 Oct 2021 @ 1800 cb SB activity was much like yesterday. Some concerted play but mostly solo SVV with heavy runoff. If there was CNVSV, NV would stop and SV would take over with large fountaining that produced gully washer run off. 3 or 4 NVV's that got our attention at best.
20093 23 Oct 2021 @ 1000 23 Oct 2021 @ 1830 cb SB activity has improved from yesterday. Not much notable activity in the morning. Activity seemed to pick up around 1255 with a nice concerted babbling brook. 1505 there was the first observed NV bounce in this interval & another @ 1544. Platform is mostly SV dominated with many SVV solos that were Gulley washers putting water down both the left & right sides below the footbridge.
20080 22 Oct 2021 @ 1150 22 Oct 2021 @ 1633 bbev 9D PE: Steady light runoff down SV channel, with little evidence of water reaching either side channel below bridge. Shoulder is wet and water is tickling down back channel. Very grumbly. 1200-1330; increased activity from both vents, some concerted, mostly angled, thick jetting from NV. SV had several vertical, fountain-like minors, with audible runoff, that put a little water down the channel towards Echinus. Mostly quiet after that.
20071 21 Oct 2021 @ 1315 21 Oct 2021 @ 1343 mwolf well we're past the wispy, huffy stage. SV occasionally putting decent water down the runoff channel. imagine it will show up on the temperature logger. NV not very frequent but definitely more water than a few days ago.
20061 19 Oct 2021 @ 1516 19 Oct 2021 @ 1541 cb 6D2.5H PE..NV vent is having mostly wispy play with an occasional thicker, angled 15' minor. (viewed from upper deck) Nothing seen from SV & SV runoff channel is bone dry.
20037 18 Oct 2021 @ 1508 --- mwolf steamin, huffin, and grumblin. dry runoff. in about 15 minutes of observing, saw a few NV splashes with one that i would call an actual angled minor. emerald and cistern look pretty "normal" to me.
