Note:false start or a minor. not sure what to call it. Nice explosive start with all vents playing and then it suddenly stopped. pool drained a few inches but recovered to overflow in 25m. I had to leave at 1645 and no eruption by that point

You can call this a minor. At times minors are common (as is currently the case according to logger data) and on other times they're rare at best. The eruption that follows after the minor occurs usually within 1.5 hours and most of the time this is a normal eruption. If not, the eruption thereafter usually occurs within 1.5 hours, and so on until a normal eruption occurs.

That sounds like a minor. It acts like it can't get started, then stops and drains a bit.
