Comments: | Officially UNZAPPED! South Vent went from mediocre to good quickly. I'm convinced that eruptions are controlled by SV dominating the output. NV was spiking tall and often fat until SV started getting big and producing babbling brook runoff surges. SV then dominated the concerted pre-eruptive minors in volume but was slightly shorter in height, What's different with this from the others I've seen is this runoff was milky, not muddy, at the bridge and no gravel was being carried down with it during steam phase about 50 minutes after start. Also odd was the bridge was damp in a few spots and may not have gotten swamped by runoff. Wind blew spray diagonally away from platforms toward tall trees causing much of the runoff to avoid returning to NV and SV during much of the eruption. Much less brown water went skyward than the previous 2 I've seen.
