Mastiff surging started early and was wide and strong with copious runoff, and 1704:15 it surged to cone hight. After dropping down a few times Mastiff began erupting at 1706:22 from the front vent first, then the back vent, mostly to 20 feet with some spikes to 30-40 feet. Giant had maintained a high water level during the entire hot period and after several cone-filling surges it started at 1707:55. |
