| Comments: | Within an hour prior to this eruption, we stopped at the Giant cage. Bijou was off, and the platform sounded /weird/ to my ear, but we had work to do down-basin. I saw the steam plume shoot up as we left the Riverside turnoff. From discussion with gazers who know Giant well, this seemed to be a normal function eruption. No duration details (darkness was coming and the research crew wanted to start making their way back - alas). |
