Comments: | “Little Miser Geyser” - UNNG located between Little Crack Geyser & Impatient Miser Geyser in the Sprinkler Group (Lower Geyser Basin) (= 10 meters west-northwest of Little Crack Geyser & 6.5 meters southeast of Impatient Miser Geyser; UNNG is vent 12A of Wolf & Paperiello, 1989, Report on the Kaleidoscope & Sprinkler Groups); UNNG vent is at 44° 33’ 14.97” North latitude, 110° 48’ 41.12” West longitude. Finally directly saw the exact start and finish. Eruption from 1434 to 1517. Basin NOT water-filled initially. Excellent splashing and spouting in early parts of eruptions - probably the most energetic eruption of Little Miser that I've seen. Basin water-filled by 1435. Runoff has reached Little Crack Geyser's basin by 1438. Runoff is also heading south into the weathered siliceous sinter gravel flats by 1438. Less energetic eruption by 1450. Relatively low energy, with spaced splashing by 1503-onward. Last small splash at 1517. A second eruption was i.e. at 1906 (started during Fountain Geyser's 1834-1907 eruption - obscuring steam). |
