Comments: | North Vent transition to steam from 1319 to 1324. South Vent still had plenty of water and I did not get a good estimate for its transition to steam. No verticals observed for North Vent from 0500 until 1229, when I finally observed a small vertical that was worth writing down the time. Activity picked up substantially afterwards as reported by Udo and Tara. Superb viewing conditions! Wind blew the steam away from both platforms, allowing us to stay completely dry throughout the eruption. |
