| Comments: | From pg. 15: "The jets of water were indeed higher than the pine trees growing near the observation platform to the north as reported by Don Unser. The eruption lasted about 2m30s. Following the eruption both craters were empty and a few minutes after the eruption there was afterplay similar to Grand’s afterplay—strong steam ejection with some water jets. Activity of this type may have been what caused the reports of eruptions to 20 feet every few minutes following the initial eruption." |
