Comments:Height measurement of 356'. After being stranded overnight in Grant due to car troubles, I arrived at 1455. Activity seen from Decker seemed to be pretty decent most of my sit with good height, volume, and frequency. Semi frequent vertical out of NV, usually with no significant follow up. The wind shifted to SSE about ~20 minutes prior and I lost visibility of the minor eruptions. I left for the platforms not long after hearing what sounded like a decent sized minor. The runoff was at least a 3.5 when I got to steerage. A couple minutes later it was holding steady and there was more on the way. The runoff began increasing rapidly from a 4 to a 5. I called out the runoff because it was looking really good. Suddenly there was another increase in runoff. We were well beyond a 5++ and at at this point I realized that something big was going on. I saw a couple vertical shots from NV above the steam, and the wind moved the steam away just in time to see a gleaming shaft of water ejected from South vent as steamboat started to climb. Wind was straight over steerage so I went to the switchback that overlooks Cistern. The eruption had a high steam content right from the start. Very thin water phase. The wind direction pushed it basically straight up above NV. I have a picture that shows water at 1733 so probably 5m water phase. Rather loud, but nowhere near as loud as 5-20-19 (the 3m water phase). Wind stayed over steerage most of the time. It gave no indication of possible restarts.
