| Comments: | Upper mortar initiated eruption that came out of a regular cycle. Around 2302 High started to transition from splashing to jetting making several attempts to get into lock, 2305 water levels in high diminished and upper mortar started surging near the top of the cone, 2306 surge from upper mortar over the cone and fan tried again but failed to go into lock, 2307 upper mortar surged way over the cone, 2308 main and east took off.
This was a powerful eruption with fan going about 8’
Past the bike path. Great wind direction for the eruption, water in both fan and mortar was very visible for most of the eruption. |
