| Comments: | This was one of the strongest eruptions from Dep that I have seen. There were very few observations up to this point, but the information I have is as follows: 1a 1421. Pool crashed at 1421 into a HOLD 1C. 1b 1427, 6mins post HOLD 1C. 1a at 1432. Impressive water levels at 1433. Water level covered the back rim and filled the ear at 1434. Flood 14:35:02, HOLD 1C lead time 14 minutes. The pool immediately began dropping after the flood before bursting began at 14:35:17. The pool level continued to drop further which I think paved way for the massive bursts in this eruption. Big bursts at 14:35:32, 36, 39, 44, 47, 49, 51, 52. 14:36:02, 04, 06, 17, 24, 29, 35, 41, 48, 57. 14:37:08, 15, 16, 24, 25, 28, 33, 35, 41, 42, 43, 54, 57. 14:38:07, 8. Eruption end 14:38:15. D=3m 13s. Normally I would not note every single good burst, but given the sheer number of massive bursts and the fact that most of them were from a barely visible pool made it of note. Overall, a very impressive eruption. This made the 21st HOLD 1C resulting in an eruption, keeping the rate at 100%. |
