| Comments: | Closed interval 11d08h. A major change in minor behavior occurred during this interval. Instead of Lower Mortar minors, there were long series of Bottom Vent eruptions. In this eruption cycle there was Main Vent splashing but only one good splash 46 minutes before the start of the eruption. Bottom Vent erupted 12 times with durations mostly ranging from 2-4 minutes. Upper Mortar initiated the eruption about 21 minutes after the start of River. |
