| Comments: | an aborted eruption. In the 10 minutes previous to this there had been several big surges – 2 just before the geyser started to play to full height from all vents. Compared to all other eruptions observed this summer & last summer it was a bit unusual to see that there was no water visible at all in the main vent before the eruption. One might be able to conclude that there may have been one or more aborted eruptions previous to this |
