Ear Spring had a fresh runoff channel carved almost directly opposite of the spring on the boardwalk. Looked like it could have been from this morning. The other runoff channels looked like they have for some time. |

Nearly all microbes have been killed in the runoff channels. They’ve also been greatly reduced in Pendant Spring. |

Ear Spring is significantly hotter than it was on my last visit (think that was on 11 July 2017). There's also a seep that's active along the "front left" edge (as you face it on the boardwalk). I watched sustained boiling in the center of the pool that lasted 30 seconds or so. |

Area between the section of Ear Spring that normally bubbles along the edge and the boardwalk was wet out to about a foot. This is not in the normal overflow channel for Ear. |
