4791 15 Sep 1980 @ 1800 --- research-mab 9/15/1980 Disturbance: Splutter Pot Geyser – did not follow the pattern of increased activity observed in its neighbor, Big Whirligig. Splutter Pot appears to be drowned out by the increased run off coming from Blue Geyser. Temp while water flowing into it- not ie 171ºF. Only one observed eruption at the end of a Big Whirligig.
5083 22 Jun 1980 @ 1800 --- research-mab 06/22/1980 Splutter Pot had an interval of 4min 30 sec between wash time.
5134 01 Jun 1980 @ 1800 --- research-mab 06/01/1980 Splutter Pot active.

5095 09 Jun 1978 @ 1800 --- research-mab 06/09/1978 Note Splutter Pot was seen in only one eruption. Temperature while not ie was 167ºF. Runoff in channel seemed much increased.

5264 07 Aug 1976 @ 1800 --- research-mab 08/07/1976 There’s a hole, about bowling ball size, in the runoff channel about 20 yds north of Big Whirligig that was splashing around 6”-12”. This is the first time I’ve seen anything from this vent all summer.

6448 02 Sep 1972 @ 1800 --- research-mab 09/02/1972 Sputter [sic] Pot Geyser – the vent has about 6 inches of water in it - the fullest that the vent has been all summer.
