Note: | 9/15/1980 Whirligig Geyser – became darker grey as the day progressed. Turbidity, at least in part, was due to run off entering Big Whirligig from Blue Geyser, via Constant. During a Big Whirligig eruption - the water did not clear indicating muddy water was coming from below or, all the water leaving Big Whirligig was that which had flowed into the system from Blue’s run off. I suspect the first case. Temp not ie at 10:14 165ºF, while ie at 1104 - 184ºF |
