Additional comments on Ledge: There was virtually no warming on the beginning of the eruption, minor play up until that time had been relatively light with more of a spray being ejected from the main vent each time rather than the typical heavy water surges, then was quiet for around 3 minutes between each of the periods of minor play. Just three moderate water surges in quick succession was all that required to get it going this time. The eruption, including steam phase was over by 8:00 PM |
