Comments: | 0239 mixed water/steam phase. Edit: at 239, eruption began pulsing/"granding". 0318 pause about 5 to 10 seconds. Pre-eruption: 12:34 concerted vertical minor with heavy runoff, followed by minors decreasing in energy until about 01:30. strong pause with no energy or sound for about 5 minutes, then small jetting increasing in energy and runoff. At approximately 01:45 very strong concerted vertical minor that sustained. Wind shifted towards lower platform, so we moved to upper platform, at which time a very strong minor built and strengthened until becoming major eruption. |
