| Comments: | Solo eruption independent of Grand or Turban, time unknown. Marler writes in his 1962 annual report, pg. 15: Soon after Vent began playing it became evident that it was gradually lowering the water level in the craters of both Grand and Turban. The drop in level was quite steady and uniform, being about one inch every five minutes .After 2 hours and 12 minutes of steady drop—the level being down about 2 feet—the water suddenly began to rise in both Grand and Turban. Within about 2 minutes of the start of the rise, Turban began erupting and within a matter of a few seconds it was followed by Grand. |
