Comments:First known eruption since possible eruption on 8/20/1964; next known eruption not until 5/24/1973.

Conflicting report in the August 1966 Report of the Naturalist Division; as always with this source, take with a grain of salt. "This important geyser [Morning] was rendered dormant by the 1959 earthquake. It showed signs of rejuvenation last summer, but the activity was minor and of short duration. This year it has made a marked comeback in the power it used to display. Two eruptions, major in character, occurred on August 26 and 29, both eruptions coming at 9:30am. The duration of the activity was 18 minutes. This is less than half as long as its pre-quake activity; however, some of the bursts were near 100 feet in height."
