Note: | 8/6/1988 Hurricane Vent In Porcelain Basin, Hurricane Vent has an upside down (for a geyser, that is) eruption. It’s eruption is preceded by increased steaming from the fumeroles to the north. After several minutes of increased steam, water overflows from a horizontal crack in the rock, which is about one foot long and about 1½ feet above the water level, on the north side. The water flows out for about 1-2 minutes. |
