| Note: | 6/19/1979 A definite change in the behavior of Echinus Geyser has been noted by the Norris Naturalists since Steamboat played: one eruption was initiated from an empty crater, lasting only 4-5 minutes, & did not overflow. Intervals & durations in general seem to be shorter than before. FH described the eruptions as appearing “tired”: the number of bursts per minute was fewer. |
